Year 2

Hello and welcome to Year Two at Old Hall Primary School.

This is a very exciting year for you and your child/ren, as they explore the wonderful topics that our part of our Old Hall curriculum for Year 2 which can be seen on our long term plan below.

The Year 2 team is Miss Thomas (teacher), Miss Round (teaching assistant) and Mrs Robinson (teaching assistant). We are all looking forward to working with you and your child/ren.

Class information

We will put any important information in an email or text message from the school office or in your child's book bag so please do send these into school each day. Our whole school weekly newsletter is emailed to parents and carers on Friday's and a copy can be found on the website for your convenience.

Our Week

This is what a typical week looks like in Year 2, although this might change on occasions because of other events or activities in school.

Day	Information
Monday	Homework set on Purple Mash. Homework due in on Purple Mash. Reading books in daily and sent home.
Tuesday	Reading books in daily and sent home. PE in afternoon. Please ensure a full kit is worn.
Wednesday	Reading books in daily and sent home.
Thursday	Reading books in daily and sent home.
Friday	Reading books in daily and sent home. PE in afternoon. Please ensure a full kit is worn.

Reading books will be changed once a week on a Monday morning.

Our Year 2 Learning

We enjoy a broad curriculum, which we are proud of, and this covers a range of subjects that develop our children and their learning.
